Two Million Minutes!
While reading some blogs, I came across this site Two Million Minutes. It is very provocating. It examines how the three superpowers of the 21st century - United States, China, and India, are preparing their high school students for the future. It emphasizes the importance of four years of high school (9 to 12) - 2 million minutes - in the growth of the child and the country.
The Two Million Minutes storyline was conceived by Robert A. Compton and he also has served as Executive Producer of the documentary. Compton has had a distinguished business career as a venture capitalist, as former President of a NYSE company, as the entrepreneur founder of four companies and as an angel investor in more than a dozen businesses. Compton has traveled the world extensively. His trips to India in 2005 and 2006 inspired him to author a blog , publish a book - Blogging Through India - and to create the documentary Two Million Minutes.
You can click on the above link and see the trailer and order the video. The movie has been showed in college campuses in the US. I have ordered my copy and cannot wait to see it.
